Josephine is a Partner of the firm and a highly experienced conveyancing solicitor specializing in banking law, securities, conveyancing, landlord and tenancy law.
Her main areas of work are in property law and real estate law, including issues relating to the regulation of mortgage backed securities and client compliance. She advises and acts for parties in pre-contract enquiries, preparing contracts for sale and purchase transactions, transactions involving private residential properties including licensed and unlicensed projects, JTC commercial and industrial properties, HDB commercial and residential properties. She is well versed with the requirements and regulations with which CPF funds can be used towards financing purchase of properties and also acts for the CPF Board. She has advised both landlords and tenants on their obligations and liabilities and has prepared various types of leases for residential and commercial properties as well as HDB properties.
She has vast experience advising on banking transactions and liaising with financiers, acting for the mortgagees, and advising on the financing and securities matters.
Josephine also handles probate and administration matters. She has experience in advising trustees, executors, personal representatives and the beneficiaries of an estate on how to settle all of the final affairs of a deceased person. She has honed her skills in the drafting of Wills as well as other related Wealth and Estate Planning matters. She also handles the drafting of the Power of Attorney including advising the donors on the scope of their powers and incorporating clauses to customize the powers extended to the donees and preparing the Lasting Power of Attorney.
