Dawn is an Associate of the firm. Her main practice is in civil and commercial litigation as well as general corporate matters and commercial transactions.
Dawn handles and has represented clients in a wide range of litigation disputes including breaches of contracts, tortious claims as well as debt recovery. She also regularly advises on matters relating to trade credit insurance and performance bonds. Dawn has also advised and represented creditors whose debtors are involved in liquidation / statutory moratorium / scheme of arrangements / judicial management / super priority rescue financing.
Aside from litigation, Dawn also has experience assisting in drafting and reviewing a variety of corporate and commercial agreements, including but not limited to concessionaire, license, franchise, software, services, joint venture, loan and shareholders’ agreements.
Dawn also actively volunteers for the Criminal Aid Legal Scheme as well as the Law Society Ad Hoc Pro Bono Scheme. Through her volunteering experience, she has gained experience in matters relating to probate and administration, family law, criminal law, as well as the Mental Capacity Act.
Some of the notable cases Dawn was involved in include:
- Assisted in successfully defending 4 Defendants against a multi-million dollar claim relating to breaches of contract / tort of deceit / tort of conspiracy and estoppel – Day, Ashley Francis v Yeo Chin Huat Anthony and others  SGHC 93
- Assisted in successfully arguing in the Singapore High Court on a point of law relating to incorporation of exclusion and limitation clauses in contract.
