We

search clerks and receptionists. From time to time vacancies
will arise. You may e-mail your c.v. to the general office e-mail.
All applications will be kept in strict confidence.
While
a pupil is assigned a pupil master, the pupillage programme
in Ramdas & Wong is a centralised one. The pupil will be given
work by other lawyers in the firm.
The
pupil’s work is monitored by partners in charge of the pupillage
programme to ensure that the pupil has as wide an exposure to
legal practice as is possible in the short six months period
of pupillage. At the start of the pupillage programme, the pupil
will be attached to the Litigation and Corporate Departments.
He/she will be assigned drafting work (pleadings, affidavits,
submissions), research work, and solicitors’ work. Where possible,
the pupil will be given the case file to follow through, including
attending meetings with clients and attending court with lawyers.
At
the end of three months, the pupil will be rotated and be attached
to the Conveyancing Department for exposure to property transactions
(including sale, purchase, financing, re-financing). The pupil
will be given feedback from time to time regarding his/her progress.
Retention
will depend on whether there is a need for lawyers at the time
the pupil completes his/her pupillage. However, Ramdas & Wong
is prepared to invest in pupils and young lawyers who prove
themselves able during the pupillage period. Historically, the
retention rate of pupils at Ramdas & Wong is in the range of
60%.
We
are looking for candidates who are prepared to work hard, learn,
are proactive and who can work as a team member. If you are
interested in applying to us for a place for pupillage, you
may send in your application with curriculum vitae and recent
